High-Level Conference on Renewable Energy & Clean Cooking

In November 2019, the GRC co-hosted a High-Level Policy Conference in Freetown, Sierra Leone to deepen discussions on specific technical and political areas of relevance for the uptake of renewable energy and clean cooking. It convened political decision makers from the Mano River Union (Cote d’Ivoire, Liberia, Sierra Leone and Guinea). The long-term purpose of this policy dialogue is the development of a joint roadmap for accelerating renewable energy and clean cooking in the MRU countries. This conference marks the starting point of an ongoing legislative dialogue on the rapid deployment of renewable energy solutions in the region.
