On Monday, 9th December 2019, the Global Renewables Congress held a Parliamentary Breakfast in the context of the UN Climate Change Conference, COP25 under the Chilean Presidency, from 2 to 13 December 2019 in Madrid, Spain.
27 participants – including 13 standing and former parliamentarians – came together to discuss the contributions and importance of Renewables Energy towards fulfilling the 1.5°C aim of the Paris Agreement.
In a Call for Action participants called on all parliamentarians around the world to promote and strengthen the role of Renewable Energies in the Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs) and ensure swift implementation of legislation to implement the Paris Agreement.
