As we step into 2025, we would like to take a moment to thank all of you—our network of parliamentarians, partners, and renewable energy advocates—for your incredible support and commitment to advancing the global energy transition. Together, we have made meaningful progress in championing renewable energy solutions and driving climate action worldwide.
As we look to 2025, the Global Renewables Congress (GRC) is excited to embark on impactful initiatives to drive climate action and renewable energy adoption. Our key focus areas for the early 2025 include:
- Legislative Pathways for Renewable Energy: Co-partnering with IRENA and others at the 2025 Legislators Forum during the 15th IRENA Assembly in Abu Dhabi to engage global legislators in aligning renewable energy and energy efficiency targets with updated NDCs.
- Green Hydrogen Masterclass: Launching a multi-episode series to explore key topics such as international collaboration, governance frameworks, just energy transitions, and green industrial policies, offering policymakers actionable insights on green hydrogen.
- Parliamentary Action for Climate Vulnerable Nations: Collaborating with the Climate Vulnerable Forum (CVF) to integrate parliamentary action into Climate Prosperity Plans (CPPs), helping climate-vulnerable countries develop tailored policies to achieve NDC and just transition goals, focusing on two key nations from the CVF group.
- Working together with other organisations driving this change.
